CALCIUM, CAL-BOR, CAL-BOR+MOLY

All three formulations supply 10% Calcium and 8% Sulfur in a safened form containing no chloride. These products are intended for use on crops commonly affected by Calcium disorders: bitter-pit, corking, blossom-end rot, black-heart, tip-burn, etc. Apply at any time during the growing season.

In addition to its well-established effects on fruit firmness and keeping quality, Calcium combined with Boron (CALBOR containing 1% Boron) is becoming increasingly recognized for its ability to affect pollen viability, hence fruit set and yield, in early season applications. For example, it is applied in a bloom spray to increase fruit set on avocados.

Molybdenum is essential for proper utilization of Nitrogen. Its role in the biosynthesis of protein is a factor in controlling the detrimental effects of N on fruit quality. CALBOR+MOLY, containing 0.5% Molybdenum, has become incorporated into tree fruit programs in the Pacific Northwest along with BETA to improve tree vigor, return bloom, yield, size, typiness and fruit finish.
